Question

Can an ustaaz teaching with a salary teach in the musjid so that he may sit for the sunnat I'tikaaf in Ramadhaanul Mubarak? If not, could he continue with his teaching in the masjid and proportionately give back his salary?

Answer

Without a valid need, it is makrooh for an Ustaadh who receives a salary to teach in the Musjid. Teaching in the Musjid without a salary is permissible provided one ensures that no inconvenience and disturbance is caused to the musallees and those sitting for i'tikaaf.
