Question

I'm an 18 old boy and I'm dependent on my parents for money. But I get a good amount of money monthly. Whenever I see poor people on the road, I give them money. Recently my friend said that its not permissible to give money as sadaqah when you are not earning money by yourself. Can you please help me with this.

Answer

It is permissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
