Ownership of jewellery after divorce
Question
Following a divorce, what is the law on jewellery? Who becomes the rightful owner?
Answer
The jewellery is normally given as a present to the bride. And when it is given to her as a gift then it is her property. There should not be any question coming up as to whose property it is.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
