Is Hajj compulsory upon a person who does not have knowledge of the Qur'aan?
Question
Can someone who doesn't have a knowledge of the holy Qur'aan perform Hajj?
Answer
Having knowledge of the Quraan Majeed is not a precondition for hajj becoming compulsory. If one has the means to perform hajj during the months of hajj, hajj will be compulsory upon him.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
