Doing personal work during work time

Question

1. I work as a Technical Support on a transport concern. The work will be when the need arises and I fix them. There is some leisure time also. Can I read Quraan in that time?

2. I used to see some personal mails, social networking apps during this time, is it allowed to do that?

Answer

1. Yes.

2. If it is your free leisure time and it is of a permissible nature then there is no problem.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
