Question

What is the shar'ee ruling in the case where the Imaam recited the same surah in both rakaats of a fardh salaah? Will sajdah sahw be waajib?

Answer

It is makrooh for one to intentionally recite the same surah in both rakaats of a fardh salaah. However, the salaah will be valid and sajdah sahw will not be waajib.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
