Question

Is visiting the grave shirk (polytheism)?

Did any of the 4 imams (Hanafi, Shafi, Hanbali, Maliki) ever visit the graveyard?

Answer

It is a sunnat if it is done in the right manner.

When Hadhrat Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) himself visited graves then why should there be any further doubt in this regard.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
