Question

Although it is permissible for the muazzin to stand anywhere in the masjid to give the azaan for the jumuah khutbah, is it sunnat for him to stand in front of the imaam no matter which staff he may be in?

Answer

It is masnoon for the muazzin to stand in front of the khateeb and imaam. It does not have to be in the first saff, but he should be in front of the imaam and somewhat near him.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
