Muslim family and Christian family living in one house

Question

I want to know if a Muslim and Christian family can live together in one house?

Example: The Muslim family lives in one portion of the house and the Christian family lives in the other portion of the house. Is this allowed in Islam?

Answer

If it can be avoided then it should be avoided. This type of living is extremely dangerous. Just in respect of the Christian living in the same house, at some point in time, your deen may be compromised.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
