Take birth control measures because one is not ready for children
Question
Is one allowed to take birth control measures because one feels they are not ready for children or they want to enjoy time with their husband and relax...is that a valid excuse?
Answer
This is not in conformity with pure Islamic ethos. We do not say that this is haraam. However, it is definitely against the teaching of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has said: "Marry women who are loving and will bear offspring."
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
