Validity of nikaah if one did not receive a nikaah certificate
Question
I got married a year ago. Nikaah and everything took place but I never sign the certificate or recieve a certificate saying that I'm married. Am I married and how do I go about for faskh if I don't have a certificate?
Answer
If the nikaah was done with witnesses and the right procedure the nikaah is valid. Signing and writing is not a condition for the nikaah being valid.
You may contact an ulama body. They will study your case and thereafter guide you correctly.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
