Hurmate-musaaharat being established between mother and son if the mother is divorced

· 24 Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah 1442 AH1 min readEnglish

Question

Will hurmate-musaaharat be established between mother and son if the mother is divorced and married to some other person (who is not the father of this son) and the son is not married.

Answer

If the son touches the mother with lust or vice versa, it will be haraam and hurmat-e-musaaharah will become established. However, if the mother is not married to the son's father, her nikaah with her husband will not break.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
