Husband suspending talaaq on a condition
Question
My mother-in-law had lost her temper, I had taken my wife away and said to my wife, "I swear by the Quraan that if I went to her house today, our relationship would end." I haven't gone there yet. What is the solution in Shariat?
Answer
If you did not go there the entire day, then no divorce has taken place. If you went the following day or any time later, no divorce will take place.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
