Question

Due to the pandemic, my husband is not allowed in the hospital during my delivery. Can he recite the azaan through the phone loudspeaker in my baby’s ears? What is the other option I can do?

Answer

Azaan is given in the presence of the child. If it is not possible for the father to come over, then the mother can also call out the azaan.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
