Is it permissible to give ones zakaat to a person who has Dstv?

Question

1. Is it permissible to give ones zakaat to a person who has Dstv?

2. Is it permissible to give zakaat to a person who has WiFi?

Answer

1. If he is genuinely in constraints and you know that even if he did not have this he would still be in constraints you may assist him.

2. If it is used for his personal work then he may be assisted with zakaat.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
