Opening an interest-bearing account for charity purposes

Question

Is it permissible to open an interest-bearing bank account with the only intention of donating the accrued interest to a non-Muslim cat feeding organisation?

Answer

To deposit money into the bank only in order to receive interest is haraam. Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) cursed the one who accepts interest, the one who pays it, the one who records the transaction, and the witnesses to it, and he said, "They are all equal."

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
