Question

My brother has a packing job at a non-Muslim supermarket where he puts products on shelves. If he mostly packs haraam products on shelves and then purchases food for us using such money, would the food be haraam?

Answer

It is not permissible for him to pack haraam food on the shelves. He should sincerely repent for getting involved in this haraam action.

If the work he is employed for is such that he is required to pack halaal items as well as haraam items, and most of the work he is doing is halaal, then it is permissible for you to eat from his income.

However, if all or most of the work he is doing is haraam, then it will not be permissible for you to eat from his income.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
