Buying food from a non-Muslim restaurant that gets its meat from a Muslim
Question
A restaurant is owned by a non-Muslim, but the chicken/mutton is supplied by a Muslim. Is the food halaal? Can a Muslim have the food cooked there?
Answer
When it is a non-Muslim owned restaurant, then what guarantee and assurance does one have of contamination taking place or haraam meat being used?
A non-Muslim does not subscribe to the value system of Islam and the concept of halaal and haraam is not of concern to him. His main concern and aim is to make money.
Therefore, a Muslim should exercise extreme caution in this regard and refrain from eating from non Muslim food outlets.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
