Question

Some say that it is not good to get information about Islam via the internet. Should I perhaps stop asking questions via email for this reason?

Answer

An email is similar to writing a letter. If it is that you are referring to a person whom you are quite sure and certain about his knowledge, understanding and righteousness then there is no problem. In fact it is beneficial.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
