Question

Is it permissible for a Shaafi to perform Iqamah according to the Hanafi madhab due to the majority of musallees and the imam being Hanafi?

Answer

Since he is a shaafi, he should follow his mazhab and call the iqaamah according to the mazhab of Imaam Shaafi. However, if he calls out the iqaamah according to the hanafi mazhab, it will be valid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
