Question

Is it permissible to wear taweez for children and adults? Ayat ul kursi, the quls.

And for babies the dua: Aoothoo bi Kalima til la hit ta mah ti min kuli shay taanin wa haa ma tin wa min kulli ay nin la mah tin.

Also is it permissible to wear a necklace for women with ayaat ul kursi engraved on it?

If it is permissible, I know the necklace has to be removed before entering the toilet area. But the taweez being covered in a cloth, will it also have to be remove?

Answer

It is permissible for one to use or wear a taweez provided the contents are permissible, the belief of the person wearing the taweez is correct, the purpose for which the taweez is being worn is permissible and there is nothing impermissible contained or associated with it.

If the taweez is covered, it does not have to be removed before entering the toilet.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
