Validity of the fast if one ate after sehri time expired

Question

Sehri ended at 4:15 today. I ate until 4:16. I realized this about 20 minutes later when I went to the masjid. Is the fast valid? Or should I 'break' the fast?,

Answer

If you exceeded the sehri time limit and continued to eat after subah saadiq, then your fast is not valid. You will not have to keep a qadha fast for this as you did not commence the fast.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

When does sehri end and iftar begin?

“You should follow the Sehri (Suhoor) time of the location where you are physically present at the time of Sehri. If you are in Doha at the time of Sehri, then you will follow the Sehri time of Doha and begin your fast accordingly.”
