Question

Where in Mina is it mustahab for one to stay?

Answer

The Fuqahaa have mentioned that it is mustahab to stay near Musjidul Khaif (Musjidul Khaif is towards the south of Mina near the Jamaraat, approximately 9km from Musjid-ul-Haraam). However, if one stays in any area of Mina, the sunnah will be fulfilled.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
