Will the charity be necessary for every time after the 1st time?
Published as Kaffarah for breaking a vow where one will pay for every time one commits a sin
Question
If someone made a vow to not do a sin and that if he did the sin from start to finish he would give in charity R100. For each time he did it he would give R100 and if he did the sin multiple times, he'll give R100 for the 1st time. Will he have to pay another R100 for every time after that or not since the vow had been broken. Will the charity be necessary for every time after the 1st time?
Answer
If he said in the vow that whenever he does a certain sin he will give R100 in charity, then whenever he does the sin, he should give R100 in charity.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
