Breathing while reciting a surah in salaah

· 15 Muharram 1447 AH1 min readEnglish

Question

1. During Salah, while I am reciting a surah or something else, must I stop reciting to breathe in or out through my mouth and then continue or can I keep on reciting while I take a breath?

2. The same question as above for yawning.

Answer

1. You can breathe while reciting.

2. Try to suppress the yawn while reciting. However, if you cannot, then place the back of your right hand on your mouth while yawning. Thereafter, you should continue the recitation.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
