Question

A boy came up to me for chanda (collections) of masjid. He asked me to give it, I had no money in my pocket so I said to him sarcastically and jokingly "I have 2 to 4 crore rupees in my pocket you want it?". Did I commit kufr?

Answer

Though this is not kufr, it was not right for you to respond in this way.

When he asked you for a donation for the musjid, then you should have told him that you do not have anything with you. You should have not lied and given him a sarcastic answer. Make istighfaar for this and refrain from this in the future.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
