Question

What is greed in Islam as Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that wealth without greed is a blessing and wealth with greed is not a blessing. So is earning more considered greed?

And I read somewhere that Ameerul Mumineen said that be moderate in earning. I don't know if it's authentic or not. If yes, should we earn moderate and not earn more?

Answer

If it is that one is not chasing and is not obsessed with piling up wealth then it does not amount to greed.

Yes, make a moderate effort to earn a living.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
