The purpose of the creation of man

Question

I don't understand why did Allah Almighty create us. I don't mean disrespect but why were we created?

Answer

In the Qur’aan Majeed, Allah Ta'ala says, "I did not create man and jinn except for My worship" (Surah Dhaariyaat v. 56). As slaves of Allah Ta‘ala, it is a right that we owe Allah Ta‘ala, our Beloved Creator, that we obey Him and lead our lives in accordance to His commands.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
