Question

The bank gives a percentage of interest on money in your savings account. Is it permissible to use this money to pay off debts?

Answer

It is not permissible to pay debts with interest money. However, if you are poor and eligible to receive zakaat, then it will be permissible for you to use the interest money to pay your debts.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
