Question

My mother has been disrespecting the Ulama' in our local area, by back biting and insulting them to us her children. What advise should be givin to my mother and is this allowed?

Answer

Advise her that this can be dangerous. Sometimes it can lead to disbelief as well. The ulama say that backbiting the ulama is extremely harmful like poison.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
