Making a software application that helps people play games

Question

Is it permissible to make a software application that helps people play games? My software will not have any sinful elements, it is for an online game. So the people that use my software will have an easier time playing the online game.

Answer

Islam has condemned futile amusement and games. Hence, developing an application for this purpose will also be condemned. Further, the harms and wrongs that are associated with these types of games are undeniable. Many games have music, obscenity, images of animate objects etc. As a result, you will be aiding in sin and will be party to it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
