Question

My question is that if in any country it is prohibited to eat cow, and if anyone slaughters a cow he gets punishment from the government, so what should Muslims do in this situation according to Islam?

Answer

In those places in the country where it is possible to slaughter cows, one should slaughter at those places.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
