Can we (muslims) pray for a Hindu?

Question

Can we (muslims) pray for a Hindu? Like may Allah give him progress? O can we only pray for his hidayat not other than that?

Answer

Without hidaayat, one is in total failure. Hence before making dua for his material progress, you should make dua that Allah Ta'ala bless him with hidaayat.
