Question

1) When I gave my zakaat, I gave it with the intention of zakaat and of a worldly benefit e.g. increase in wealth. If my intention was not to please Allah or to attain anything in the hereafter, will it be valid?2) If I had a wrong intention for my charity, zakaat, etc., now if I change my intention will I be rewarded for my past actions?

Answer

1) Yes.

2) The fact that you had made intention for zakaat qualifies you for a reward.
