Giving gifts to non-Muslims before christmas
Question
Is it permissible to give presents to non-Muslim co-workers a few days before or after Christmas with the intention that one is giving the present as an Islamic display of good character?
Answer
Let it be not just a few days before these kuffaar days. Let it be a considerable amount of time before or after. Even better is that you make over the gifts at the time of Eid or Ramadhaan.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
