Question

Considering the fact that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is not omnipresent, standing up during Salaami isn't allowed. With this in mind, is using the words "Ya Rasulullah" allowed when not in front of Roza Mubaarak? In effect, what I'm asking, is there any problem in listening to Naaths etc with the words "Yaa Rasulullah" in it?

Answer

Since Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is not omnipresent, one should not use the phrase "Ya Rasulullah". However, one can address Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) with the words "Ya Rasulullah" when one is conveying salaams at the Raudha Mubaarak of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
