Ghusal after intercourse

Question

After having intercourse can a wife pray without taking a bath just doing wudu? If a bath is necessary, is washing the hair also necessary?

Answer

1. After having relations, ghusal is compulsory.

2. Washing the hair in ghusal is compulsory.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
