Question

People in London area have hired a hall for prayers. My question is: How important it's that they should be facing Qibla while praying? If knowingly they pray not facing the Qibla for reason of convenience and make other people to pray the same way, what will be your advice? Would their prayers/ namaz will be accepted?

Answer

Facing the qiblah is a precondition for the prayer to be valid.

The namaaz will be invalid.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

How do I find the qiblah direction?

“Primarily, one is not allowed to face the exact Qibla while relieving himself/herself nor turn his/her back towards Qibla as mentioned in various Ahadith due to the sanctity of the Qibla.”
