Respect for Ulama
Question
I have read somewhere that it is a right that (Muslim) scholars must be respected. Therefore, is it haram for a layman to argue or talk back to a scholar? Not in a rude way, but in a kind of casual manner, like he would talk to friends etc.
Answer
Our Deen teaches us to respect the Ulama and those who are responsible for the affairs of Deen (Deeni elders).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
