What are the rules of tawaaf?

“If Tawaaf is made during the Makrooh times of Salaah such as, after the Fajr Salaah or, after the Asr Salaah, then one is not permitted to perform Salaah after completing the Tawaaf, since performing Salaah at these times is Makrooh.”

“It is Sunnah to follow-up the Tawaaf of Umrah with the Saee’ of Umrah without any delay. To delay the Saee’ of Umrah by performing a Nafl Tawaaf after the Tawaaf of Umrah will be Makrooh. (Muallimul Hujjaaj 149)”

“If wudhoo breaks before or during the 4th round of Tawaaf, it is better to restart the entire process; however, it is permissible to complete the remaining rounds.”

“It is allowed to drink water whilst doing Tawaaf if there is a need to. In the case that one is required to leave the place of making Tawaaf then one can reinitiate the Tawaaf from where one left of. However this interruption should neither be too long nor too abrupt.”
