How is umrah performed?

“Whilst it is permissible to go for Nafl Umrah and Hajj, due to the dire straits of the people of Palestine, it will be very meritorious to donate one’s money to them. However, if Hajj is Fardh upon an individual i.e.”

“If at the time when you set out for the journey, you intended to perform umrah, then since you passed the meeqaat without ihraam, one damm is compulsory upon you. The damm is that you should slaughter a sheep or goat in the precincts of the Haram with the intention of atoning for the violation.”

“1. It is not mandatory for an infant to perform Umra. If you wish, you may keep her with you without intending Ihram for her. 2. Tawaf may be performed even if one is carrying impurity with him. You should ensure that no impurity soils the masjid.”

“A Mutamati is allowed to perform more than one Umrah before Hajj. In spite of its fundamental permissibility, it would be preferable not to do so. A Mutamatti should thus avoid performing any further Umrahs until after the completion of Hajj.”
