Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah

There is a woman who is divorced and she has a daughter. There is a man who is also divorced and he has a son. This woman is going to marry this man soon. Is it permissible for this woman's daughter to marry the son of the man whom the woman is going to marry in future.

Question

There is a woman who is divorced and she has a daughter. There is a man who is also divorced and he has a son. This woman is going to marry this man soon. Is it permissible for this woman's daughter to marry the son of the man whom the woman is going to marry in future.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

It is permissible for the women’s daughter to marry the son of this man.
