I have recently seen a picture of the Prophet's (SAW) kabr (grave). Is it real or is some other kabr shown? It's decorated with clothes with Arabic lettering over it in gold.
Question
Jazakallah Khair
Answer
We have been informed by reliable authorities that this picture is not the picture of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)'s grave. The grave of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is simple, covered with a green cloth similar to the pattern of the Kiswa. It is a simple stone without any turbans or sheets around it.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.

Are photographs and taking pictures permissible?
“This is not permissible. Through you building a social media app where users will post pictures of animate objects, you will be involved in the sin of photography as well as inviting others to commit this grave sin.”
