Do I have to keep kaffarah for breaking a qadha fast?
Question
What is the ruling for someone who is making a qadha fast and breaks it intentionally? Will a kaffarrah be necessary?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
There is no kaffarah for breaking a qadha fast. However, the qadha should be completed as soon as possible.[i]
