· 14 Rajab 1435 AH1 min readEnglish

Question

Q. My sister recently got divorced and she is in iddat. Can she come with us for family functions and when we go out?

Answer

She should remain within the confines of her home during the Iddah period and she cannot go out without necessity. She will be sinful for leaving the home unnecessarily. Visiting family and going out for leisure during the Iddah is not permissible.
