Taking care of one's father

Question

My father had a stroke and now has disabilities that require full time care even though he can still walk. The retired wife refuses to look after him. I am his child and married who works full time. What do I do? Put him into care or leave the job then I won't have money to pay the bills. The other siblings also are not willing to help. My father was a religious good man who was a committee mosque member.

Answer

If you can arrange for a caregiver to take care of him, otherwise do how much your can. Don't ever neglect him. This is an obligation on the entire family. If they are not willing then you should be doing it.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
