Is it permissible in Islam to remain unmarried for a girl?

Question

Is it permissible in Islam to remain unmarried for a girl? I mean I am twenty two years old. I don't want to do nikaah to anyone. I want to live my life without marriage and also being in the ibaadat of Allah Ta'ala till my last breath. According to Islam, is it permissible?

Answer

The sunnat of the ambiyaa is marriage. You cannot be more pious than the ambiyaa.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
