Vomit of a breastfeeding child

Question

Will a person’s clothes become napaak (impure) if a breastfeeding child vomits breast milk on it?

Answer

If the child vomits a mouthful or more, it will be impure. If the child vomits less than a mouthful, it will not be impure.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

( و ) ينقضه ( قيء ملأ فاه ) بأن يضبط بتكلف ( من مرة ) بالكسر أي صفراء ( أو علق ) أي سوداء وأما العلق النازل من الرأس فغير ناقض ( أو طعام أو ماء ) إذا وصل إلى معدته وإن لم يستقر وهو نجس مغلظ ولو من صبي ساعة ارتضاعه هو الصحيح لمخالطة النجاسة ذكره الحلبي (الدر المختار 1/ 137)

وفي الفتح: صبي ارتضع ثم قاء فأصاب ثياب الأم إن كان ملء الفم فنجس (رد المحتار 1/309)

وما ليس بحدث ليس بنجس بكسر الجيم فيلزم من انتفاء كونه حدثا انتفاء كونه نجسا (شرح الوقاية 1/ 69)
