Question

What is the shar’ee ruling in the case where a person passed the miqaat without tying the ihraam?

Answer

One damm becomes waajib upon him. If he returns to the miqaat and ties the ihraam then the damm will fall off.

N.B: This law applies to a person performing Umrah or Ifraad Hajj. If a Qaarin passed the miqaat without ihraam then two damms become waajib. If he returns to the miqaat and ties the Ihraam then both damms will fall off.
