Keeping a child's name "Yathrib"
Question
If someone named his child "Yathrib" Is it permissible??
Answer
The name of Madeenah was changed from Yathrib to Madeenah. A name that has been changed is not a good name.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
